The Expendables is a 2010 American ensemble action film written by David Callaham and Sylvester Stallone, and directed by Stallone. Filming began on March 28, 2009, in Rio de Janeiro, New Orleans, and Los Angeles, and the film was released in theaters on August 13, 2010 in North America.

The film is about a group of elite mercenaries tasked with a mission to overthrow a Latin American dictator whom they soon discover to be a mere puppet controlled by a ruthless ex-CIA officer. It pays tribute to the blockbuster action films of the 1980s and early 1990s, and stars an array of action veterans from those decades, including Stallone, Eric Roberts, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Gary Daniels, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger (Schwarzenegger in a cameo role), as well as more recent stars such as Randy Couture, Jason Statham, Terry Crews, and Steve Austin.

Crime Story is a serious film. The film is based on actual events surrounding the 1990's kidnapping of Chinese businessman Teddy Wang.

Inspector Eddie Chan (Jackie Chan) is assigned to find a high profile businessman who has been kidnapped, and the search takes him from Hong Kong to Taiwan, causing him to cross paths with some very powerful men in the Chinese underworld. 

What complicate matters is that there is a black sheep within the police force, who is determined to stop Chan from succeeding. Chan, a very troubled policeman, finds himself fighting his personal demons at the same time, he battles the seemingly unending wave of crime in the city.

Soon after Bei meets Liu, a private investigator who convinces Bei that he may be the long-lost son of a rich Korean businessman. In no time, Bei is on his way to fulfill his dreams of adventure and fortune travelling to Korea and even exotic Turkey. 
As Bei is drawn deeper into the game of cat and mouse, he realizes he has become the key to locating a lung cancer virus.

Rumble in the Bronx (紅番區; Hong faan kui in Cantonese) is a 1995 Hong Kong martial arts action comedy film starring Jackie Chan and Anita Mui. Released in the US in 1995, Rumble in the Bronx had a successful theater run, and brought Chan into the American mainstream. The film is set in the Bronx area of New York City but was filmed in and around Vancouver.

Ma Hon Keung (Jackie Chan), a Hong Kong cop comes to New York to attend the wedding of his Uncle Bill (Bill Tung) who introduces his new wife to him down at his supermarket, which he owns and has sold to Elaine (Anita Mui). Uncle Bill's friend, Steven Lo (Jamie Luk), loans him a vintage automobile for the wedding. 

Later that night, a street gang starts a motorcycle race near Uncle Bill's apartment. They are about to run over his friend's car until Keung jumps down and stops them. He soon starts a rivalry with the street gang when he drives them away from the supermarket that they were robbing and vandalizing.

A man walked into a crowded midnight screening for The Dark Knight Rises and opened fire on theater patrons. In days following, family members and well-wishers wore Batman T-shirts in solidarity while visiting the make-shift memorial. Meanwhile, critics and talking heads spent the rest of the time attempting to dredge up tired arguments about violence in films. It was a sick, sad story all around.
The accused shooter, 24-year-old James Holmes, was indicted at the end of the month with 142 criminal charges.
